Joan @ Ross Class June 21, 2006
Joan Bernstein - Ross Cooking Class '06

"Thanks for the reviews!"

Make sure to take tasting notes! ;-))

I'm trying the pumpkin and peach butters next...Peach is my favorite fruit-pie, cobbler, preserves, ice cream or sliced over Bluebell Homemade Vanilla. I'm thinking of making some turnovers, just roll out the biscuit dough, drop a tablespoon or so of peach/apple/pumpkin butter in middle, fold, press the edges together with dampened fork tines and fry in skillet till brown. Sprinkle with a bit of confectioners sugar or cinnamon sugar!  My grandmother made them this way, and either she used her dried apples or homemade preserves.

LOL!  Well, I'm not kidding - your products are incredible!  And the best part is that at your booth, you have every (at least tons of) different flavors out open, and available to sample –

consider getting the Peachy Keen Pepper Jelly! Delicious, with just enough bite to let you know it's there, but not set you on fire. I loved it as a topper on the chicken salad I made last week, the kind you make with cooked chicken, seedless grapes, chopped nuts, chopped celery and green onion with mayo.

The jelly was good just now smeared on a turkey sandwich too! ;-))

I made the Apricot Marmalade Wings Saturday...mmmmm, yum! Next time will try with legs and wings/thighs

Have tried the Peachy Keen Pepper Jelly, and it's a winner!

My brother and mom even liked it.

It was really good with the chicken salad(the kind you make with grapes and nuts) on a cracker and a dab of jelly on top, gives it a good kick!

We love eating your preserves.

Warmly, Peggy

YUMMY!!!! The Apple Butter is OUR fave!

The brats are eatng it on crackers!

They opened all the jars except for the chutney and I'll try it with a lamb dish this week. Thanks so much!

Yesterday, I gave 3 of your fabulous jams as a birthday present.  My long-time friend Ivan Berger was very pleased to receive them, and I raved about them to several people at the party.

Your very berry was "cracked" open for guests (I had 6, including a couple from the Netherlands, after our memorial day show) and it was the hit of the table!!!!!! (I had been hoarding it...) Jan
